Our Strategy

How we accomplish our mission is best simplified as “Reaching to Build, Building to Launch.”

Reaching

We seek to reach students with the gospel in order to transform their lives with Christ.  This happens for some students who come to faith in Christ for the first time as well as for other students who we reach with a vision to multiply their faith into others for the rest of their lives. 

Building

Once we reach a student, we seek to build them into a mature follower of Christ.  We establish them in the basics of a relationship with Christ through Bible study, prayer, evangelism, community, worship, and commitment to a local church body.  Then we train them into mature disciples who are equipped to share their faith with others and teach them the same basics of their relationship with Christ.  As they are being built into maturity, we lay before them the vision to go out into the world to share their faith and disciple others in the same way that they have learned on the campus. 

Launching 

Therefore, we build in order to launch mature, multiplying Christians into all spheres of influence.  Our desire is to see both individuals and teams launched from our campuses with a vision and the training to change the world for Christ.

What is Campus Outreach?

Campus Outreach Greenville is an inter-denominational ministry targeting college campuses in upper South Carolina and western North Carolina. Founded in 1994 under the supervision of Mitchell Road Presbyterian Church in Greenville, SC, our mission is “Glorifying God by Building Laborers on the Campus for the Lost World.” Through evangelism and discipleship, we reach students with the gospel and train them to be mature Christians with a commitment to the Great Commission. Our desire is to see students leave college equipped for the work of ministry and ready to labor in the harvest fields for the glory of God!
