My Story:
I came into Western Carolina as a second semester freshman so consumed with myself, my desires and needs. I lived to satisfy and idolizing myself. My views of God were believing if you do well you will receive well, if you do bad you will receive bad. God was seen as a king that delegated according to the way I lived. My freshman year I met a woman (in her twenties) named Christina who played a huge role in my life as she spent time with me. She loved the lord in such a way that her whole life reflected wanting to know him more. Throughout the semester God grew me in knowing more of His Character. He was no longer seen as a king who delegated according to my actions but a king who wanted to get off His throne and fight the battle along side of me. God did not come to just save me but become Lord over all of who I am. In return giving me a desire to know God and make him known for the rest of my life.
My hobbies:
Any arts & crafts, painting, roller skating, a new love for baking, softball, running, playing outside, reading a book with a huge cup of coffee, party planning, and loving people.
My favorites:
pumpkin flavored anything, coffee shops, being outside, road trips, rocking chairs, living in the mountains, being a Western alum, Law and Order SVU, reading, the movie Don’t Tell Mom the Babysitter’s Dead, driving on the parkway in the fall, going to football games, candles
What you probably didn’t know about me:
I’m the first girl in 100 years on my Dad’s side of the family, I lived in South Africa for 2 months for a Cross-Cultural Project, I used to pretend I was an ice skater on my roller blades to anything by Celine Dion–in my mind I am ready for the Olympic games!
