Tyler Jarratt

Role and number of years on staff:
Campus Staff at Presbyterian College, 1st Year
Hometown:
G-vegas (Greenville), SC
Graduated from:
Furman University ‘09 in Philosophy
My Story:
Once there was this kid (who is in fact myself) who knew all the answers about God, and thus thought he knew God. He was wrong–God continually broke him down until he was sure he didn’t know anything, and then God saved him at the age of 17 according to His marvelous grace. Ever since, God has been revealing more and more to him until the point where he felt called to give his life for the purpose of sharing Jesus to college students and falling more in love with Him.
My hobbies:
The cliché ones: reading, guitar, long walks on the beach (just kidding)
The interesting ones: sand volleyball, ukulele, sketching landscapes, drawing cartoons
My favorites:
Verse: Hebrews 12:1-2
Book: The Chronicles of Narnia (read ‘em every Christmas)
Band: Mutemath (new album August 18th, I’m pumped!)
City: Boston (still holding out for Seattle, haven’t been there yet, but heard good things)
Chill Spot: Leopard Forest Coffee Co. in Travelers Rest (if you don’t mind smelling like coffee the rest of the day)
Food: garlic mashed potatoes (the real thing, not the boxed stuff)
TV Show: Lost (so philosophical, I love it)
Team: Chicago Cubs (this is our year!!)
What you probably didn’t know about me:
I’m a published poet (5th grade, but hey, its something)
I have 3 younger sisters (jr. in college, 9th and 10th grade)
I’ve never lived anywhere outside of Greenville
If I could learn to play one instrument for the rest of my life it would be the steel drums, I really want some
